Evaluating Your Movie
As a final step in your movie-making process, you should always check
to see whether or not you met the goal or goals you set out in the first
step. If you were simply including a demonstration in a Help system,
you'll need to use methods outside of Captivate to track its success.
For example, you may want to check with your call center to see if the
movie helped reduce support calls for that particular function. For
movies with more interactivity and assessment options, you can look
at statistics like the percentage of viewers who answer each question,
the percentage of correct answers, or the overall scores for the whole
movie.
Obviously, you can go back and edit this movie to make it better.
You should also document the lessons you learn from each movie so
that when you plan the next project, you'll have a good base of experi-
ence from which to work.
Summary
This chapter reviewed a number of the things you'll need to think

chapter steps through the basics of making a simple movie in a very
short time.
