8. Click Publish to create a Word file that contains your slides along
with any selected options.
9. A confirmation dialog displays. Click View Output to open
Microsoft Word and display the handout file.
10. You can edit any of the components in the Word document, includ-
ing text captions and header and footer text, and even delete slides
if necessary.

Tip:
By default, Captivate creates the handouts using the Capti-
vate.dot template that is stored in the \Program Files\Adobe\
Captivate folder. The name Captivate and the current date are in the
header, and the page number is in the footer. You can make edits to
this template to change the headers, footers, page size, and other
elements.
