Chapter 13
Refining the Movie
Up to this point, we've been working with individual slides and the ele-
ments on those slides. You also need to take a look at your movie as a
whole. This chapter describes some of the features that help you
refine your movie, including moving slides around within the movie
and managing the movie files.
Working with Multiple Slides
The Storyboard view allows you to do some of the tasks that you can
do in Edit view. The main difference is that in Storyboard view, you can
apply your changes to multiple slides at once.
As you've already seen, the Storyboard view displays all of the
slides in your movie. When you first open a movie in Captivate, the
movie is automatically displayed in Storyboard view.
The left side of the Storyboard view displays a list of tasks you can
perform on the slides and some information about the movie as a
whole, such as the running time, movie size, and resolution. This
information only displays after you've published the movie at least
once.
The right side of the Storyboard view displays miniature versions
of each slide called thumbnails. If you've entered slide labels, they dis-
play beneath each slide next to the slide number; otherwise, just the
slide number displays. There are also icons that indicate the type of
components that are associated with each slide.
