Branching View
Branching (sometimes called “contingency branching”) allows you to
display different slides based on the way each viewer responds to
interactive or question slides. For example, you could set up a ques-
tion slide that indicates whether the viewer is a beginner, intermedi-
ate, or expert at the movie topic, then display the appropriate lessons
for each level. Or you might set different slide sets (branches) for dif-
ferent job descriptions, different regions, or whatever category makes
sense for your movie.
Displaying Branches
When you added interactivity (see Chapter 9) or created question
slides (see Chapter 10), you had the option to specify an action based
on how the viewer interacted with the slide elements or answered the
questions. If you chose “Jump to” and specified any slide other than
the next one, you created a branch within your movie.
