In-Depth Information
6.
Type the question, exactly as you want it to display, in the Ques-
tion box. You can include text, numbers, and special characters
including punctuation, and you may include instructions if
necessary.
7.
If you specified a graded question, you can enter a number in the
Points box to indicate the value or weight of the question within
the context of the quiz. If you specified a survey question, this box
is not available.
8.
Type the answers in the Answers area. You must enter at least two
answers, but you can enter as many as you need. The answers will
appear in the question slide in the order in which they display
here. You can delete answers by highlighting the answer and
either clicking the Delete button or pressing the Delete key on
your keyboard.
Tip:
You can click in each row or you can use the up and down
arrow keys to move from one answer to the next within the Answers
area.
9. From the Type box, choose whether you want to indicate just one
correct answer or several by choosing an option from the
drop-down list.
10. Back up in the Answers area, indicate which answers are correct
by clicking the radio button next to the answer.
11. Select the Shuffle Answers check box to display the available
answers in a different order each time the slide is displayed. Capti-
vate will keep track of the correct answer, regardless of the order
in which the answers are displayed. If this box isn't checked, the
slide will always display the answers in the same order (so, in Fig-
ure 10-3, answer “B” will always be correct).
12. From the Numbering box, choose an option from the drop-down
list to indicate whether you want the answers to be listed as
uppercase letters, lowercase letters, or numbers. The choice you
make will be reflected in the answers that are currently displayed
in the Answers area.
