From the Edit menu, choose Preferences , then in the Recording
category, choose Mode(s) to display the current settings.

Choose the recording mode from the drop-down list. There are
four options:
Demonstration—This mode automatically adds captions and
highlight boxes, and records mouse movement.
Assessment Simulation—This mode adds click boxes and fail-
ure boxes but does not insert captions or mouse movement.
Training Simulation—This mode adds click boxes and hints
but no mouse movements.
Custom—This mode allows you to set the recording options
manually but defaults to including text captions.

For each mode, specify the options that you want Captivate to
automatically add by choosing the appropriate check boxes.

Click OK to close the Preferences window. The options you've set
will be used for all subsequent recordings (both for new projects
and recording additional slides in an existing project).
