Configuring Captivate
This chapter describes how to get your copy of Captivate up and run-
ning. You'll also learn about the online and telephone options for
activating your software, as well as deactivation options.
System Requirements
Before you begin installation, ensure that the system you'll be using
has at least the following minimum configuration:
Intel Pentium 4, Intel Centrino, Intel Xeon, or Intel Core Duo (or
compatible) processor
Microsoft Windows XP with Service Pack 2, Windows 2000 with
Service Pack 2, or Windows Vista Home Premium, Business, Ulti-
mate, or Enterprise (certified for 32-bit editions). Note: Trial ver-
sion not supported on Windows 2000.
512 MB of RAM (1 GB recommended)
700 MB of available hard disk space (additional free space required
during installation)
DVD-ROM drive
800 x 600 screen resolution (1,024 x 768 recommended)
Internet or phone connection required for product activation
Software and accessories for publishing and recording
