Set the length of time the element will display by choosing one of
the following from the list of Display for options:
Specific time—Enter the number of seconds you want the ele-
ment to display. If you enter a time longer than the current
length the slide is displayed, the slide timing will be adjusted
to the new length of time. For example, if your slide is cur-
rently set to display for 3 seconds, and you enter 5 seconds in
the animation timing area, the slide timing will be extended to
display for 5 seconds. You can enter times in increments of
one-tenth of a second.
Rest of slide—Displays the element for as long as the slide is
displayed.
Rest of project—Displays the element for the rest of the
entire movie.
Duration of Animation (Animation and Text Animation ele-
ments only)—Displays the element for the length of time
needed to display the entire animation.
Tip:
If you use the rest of project setting, make sure you test the
whole project. This setting makes it easy to accidentally cover up
important information on a later slide without realizing it.
