If you want to use the currently selected cursor for all the slides in
the current movie, display the Mouse menu again (as in step 2)
and choose Use current mouse pointer for all slides .
Changing the Cursor Path
Captivate stores the beginning and ending points of your cursor move-
ments, then displays the path as a line between those two points.
When you play the movie, the selected cursor icon moves along a path
that represents the movement you made when recording the slides.
Note that this isn't necessarily the same path you actually took—if you
moved the mouse in a squiggly pattern or in circles, Captivate will still
represent this as a direct line between the beginning and end points. In
general, beginning and end points are set for each slide when you click
the mouse button.
You can display the line either straight or curved, and you can
move the end point of the movement to a new location. When you
move the end point of a cursor path, Captivate automatically adjusts
the start point of the path on the next slide to match, giving you a
smooth transition when the movie is played. You can also move the
starting point by selecting the cursor and dragging the red anchor to a
new location.
To change the way the cursor moves across the screen, follow
these steps:
1.
In Edit view, select the slide with the cursor movement you want
to change. Note that the path displays an arrow indicating the
direction of movement. The arrow points toward the end point of
the path, which displays the selected icon.
2.
To change the path from curved to straight (or from straight to
curved), open the Mouse menu in any of the following ways:
In the Storyboard view Slide Tasks pane, click Mouse .
In Edit view, right-click anywhere on the background of the
slide to display a pop-up menu, then choose Mouse .
From the Slide menu, click Mouse .
Then click Straight Pointer Path to select it (for a straight path)
or click again to deselect it (for a curved path).
