for all subsequent recordings (both for new projects and recording
additional slides in an existing project).
Working with Text Captions
When you record your tasks, Captivate can automatically add some
text captions to point out the specific tasks. For example, if you click
on a link called “home page,” Captivate will add a text caption that
says “Click Here!” You can edit these captions, delete them, or create
your own custom captions. For example, you may prefer to have the
caption read “Click here to return to the home page.”
You can also define the exact look of a caption, including the font,
color, and size.
Adding Text Captions
Even if you use the automatic text captions, you may want to add a few
captions of your own. For example, you could add a caption to point to
a specific area of the screen or to insert a comment or special instruc-
tion. To add a text caption, follow these steps:
1.
In Edit view, select the slide you want to edit.
2.
From the Insert menu, select Text Caption , or click the Text Cap-
tion icon (
) to display the New Text Caption window.
