TOURIST INFORMATION
The INGUAT office (corner of 2a Calle Oriente and 2a Avenida Norte, 8 A.M.-12:30
P.M. and 2:30-5 P.M. Mon.-Fri., 9 A.M.-12:30 P.M. and 2:30-5 P.M. Sat.-Sun.), also
known as Casa del Turista, has friendly, helpful staff who can help steer you in the
right direction as well as provide free maps, bus schedules, and other useful information.
A useful website with lots of information on hotels, restaurants, shops, and services
is www.aroundantigua.com . Another useful publication is the monthly Revue magazine,
availablefreeatmanyhotels,restaurants,andshops.Anotherpublication, Qué pasa en An-
tigua , has very complete information on all that's going on.
COMMUNICATIONS
Antigua's main post office is near the bus terminal on the corner of 4a Calle Poniente and
Calzada de Santa Lucía and is open 9 A.M.-5 P.M. There are also various international
courierswithofficeshere,includingUPS(6aCallePoniente#34,tel.7832-0073)andDHL
(6a Avenida Sur #12, tel. 7832-1696). A number of companies can also help you ship
homeanypurchasesyou'reunabletofitinyourcheck-inbaggageallotment.Theseinclude
Quickbox (6a Calle Poniente #7, tel. 7832-3825) and Envíos Etc. (2a Calle Poniente #3),
which is also the local representative for FedEx.
Conexion (4a Calle Oriente #14, Centro Comercial La Fuente, tel. 7832-3768, 8:30
A.M.- 7:30 P.M. daily) offers fast Internet on new machines with flat screens for $1.50
an hour. It also does printing, photocopying, and CDBURNING in addition to phone and
fax services. Enlaces (6a Avenida Norte #1, tel. 7832-5555, 8 A.M.-7:30 P.M. Mon.-Sat., 8
A.M.-1 P.M. Sun.) is another good setup offering many of the same services. Funky Mon-
key (5a Avenida Sur #6) is housed in the same complex as the Monoloco bar and has a
decent Internet connection for about $1 an hour. Strictly for phone calls, your best bet is
AustralisTelecom(4aCallePoniente#15,tel.2381-0698,8A.M.-8P.M.daily),whereyou
can pretty much call anywhere on the planet for $0.09-0.10 a minute from a nice sound-
proof cabin.

MONEY
Banco Industrial (5a Avenida Sur #4), just south of the plaza, has a Visa/Plus ATM. There
is also an ATM on the north side of the plaza next to Café Barista. Another ATM may be
