When plastic membranes are used to waterproof against water under pressure, compart-
ment seals should be provided at every concrete block joint as ring bulkheads with con-
nection strips (Fig. 5-24 and Fig. 5-25) [193]. The connection strips should be welded
watertight to the loose-laid waterproofing membrane and to their welded seams.
