Grouse Mountain Skyride
Lynn Canyon Park
On its way to Burrard Inlet, Lynn Creek flows through a deep canyon straddled by this
240-hectare (930-acre) park. Spanning the canyon is the “other” suspension bridge. The one
here, built in 1912, is half as wide as its more famous counterpart over the Capilano River,
but it's a few meters higher and, best of all, it's free. An ancient forest of Douglas fir sur-
rounds the impressive canyon and harbors several hiking trails. Also visit Lynn Canyon
Ecology Centre (3663 Park Rd., 604/990-3755, 10am-5pm daily, adult $2), where displays,
models, and free slide shows and films explore plant and animal ecology.
