Prince George Railway and Forestry Museum
North of Downtown, Prince George Railway and Forestry Museum (850 River Rd., 250/
563-7351, 10am-5pm daily in summer, 11am-4pm Tues.-Sat. the rest of the year, adult
$7, senior $5.50, child $3.50) catalogs the region's industrial history. Take a self-guided
tour through some of the antiquated railway cars and buildings, clamber on retired rail-
way equipment, and chug back in time via the black-and-white photo displays and assorted
memorabilia. To get there from downtown, take Highway 16 east to the River Road exit
(just before the Yellowhead Bridge over the Fraser River) and continue north down River
Road one kilometer (0.6 mile) to the museum.
