Railway buffs shouldn't miss Revelstoke Railway Museum (719 Track St. W, 250/

Tues. in winter, adult $10, senior $8, child $5), a re-creation of an early Canadian Pacific
Railway station. Reflecting the importance of this mode of transportation in Revelstoke's
history, the museum centers on a massive 1948 steam locomotive and Business Car No. 4,
the ultimate in early rail-travel luxury.
Revelstoke Museum (315 1st St., 250/837-3067, 10am-5pm Mon.-Fri., 11am-5pm Sat.,
adult $5, senior $3, child $2) fills two stories of a historic downtown post office building. It
preserves plenty of pioneer memorabilia and a great collection of historical black-and-white
photos, and offers displays on local industries, early Chinese miners, and winter recreation.
