In a parking lot at the corner of Highways 3 and 97 is the British Columbia Visitor Centre
@ Osoyoos (9912 Hwy. 3, 250/495-7142 or 888/676-9667, www.destinationosoyoos.com ,
8:30am-4:30pm daily in summer, Mon.-Fri. the rest of the year), set up for travelers arriving
in the province from the nearby U.S. border crossing, but with loads of local and Okanagan
information.
Getting There
Osoyoos is at the southern end of the Okanagan Valley at the junction of Highway 97, which
leads north to Penticton (63 km/39 miles), and Highway 3, which leads west to Vancouver
(400 km/250 miles; allow five hours) and east to Nelson (260 km/163 miles; allow three
hours).
