Elk Falls Provincial Park protects a salmon-rich stretch of the Campbell River as well
as stands of old-growth forest. It extends from the western edge of the town of Campbell
River to John Hart Lake and is cut in two by Highway 28, with the campground on the
south side and the namesake Elk Falls further west on the north side of the highway. To get
to the falls, continue beyond the campground entrance for three kilometers (1.9 miles) and
turn north at the signposted road.
