possible to head west from Kamloops on Highway 97, passing through Cache Creek and
Pemberton to approach the resort town from the north. Allow at least 3.5 hours for travel
between Kamloops and Whistler.

www.rockymountaineer.com ) operates the luxurious Whistler Sea to Sky Climb between
North Vancouver and Whistler.
Whistler has no airport, but you can fly in with Whistler Air (604/932-6615 or 800/
665-0212, www.harbourair.com ) , which operates scheduled floatplane flights between
downtown Vancouver and Green Lake (just north of Whistler Village) for $199 one-way.
The baggage limit is 25 pounds plus $1.25 for every extra pound.
Vancouver International Airport, 130 kilometers (81 miles) to the south, is the main
gatewaytoWhistler. Perimeter (604/717-6600or888/717-6606, www.perimeterbus.com ,
adult $79-95, child $40-55) provides bus service from various Vancouver locations (in-
cluding the airport) to Whistler up to 11 times daily.
GETTING AROUND
Once you're in Whistler, getting around is pretty easy—if you're staying in Whistler Vil-
lage,everythingyouneediswithineasywalkingdistance. Whistler Transit System (604/
932-4020, www.bctransit.com/regions/whi ) operates extensive bus routes throughout the
valley 6am-midnight daily. The seven routes radiate from the Gondola Transit Exchange
in Whistler Village south to Whistler Creekside and as far north as Emerald Estates on the
