LinkedtotheInternationalTerminalbyaconcourseisthe Domestic Terminal. Level2
handles all arrivals and holds an information booth, car rental agencies, ATMs, and shops
and restaurants. Level 3 is for departures.
The South Terminal is used by intraprovincial airlines such as Pacific Coastal. It is
only a small terminal, which means you don't have to walk for miles, and crowds are gen-
erally nonexistent. Services include a café, gift shop, car rentals, and shuttles to the other
two main terminals.
Airport Transportation
The Canada Line ( www.translink.ca ) is a 16-kilometer (10-mile) stretch of light rail line
linking the airport to downtown Vancouver, with 19 stations en route. The journey to or
fromtheairporttakesaround30minutesandcosts$9.Theservicerunsevery4-10minutes
between 5am and a little after midnight.
A cab from the airport to downtown takes at least 25 minutes and runs around $50.
CabslineupcurbsideonthearrivalslevelsofboththeInternationalandDomesticTermin-
als 24 hours daily. All cabs that pick up from the airport must be accredited by the innov-
ative YVR Taxi Program. Administered by the Vancouver Airport Authority, the program
gives incoming visitors the peace of mind that their drivers will speak English, know their
way around the city, load all baggage, accept credit cards, and accept U.S. dollars at fair
exchange.
Airport Car Rental
If you've booked a rental car, you'll find check-in desks for Alamo, Avis, Budget, Hertz,
National, and Thrifty on the ground level of the parking garage. Discount, Dollar, and
Enterprise operatebeyondthemainparkinggarageentrancetowardtheeconomyparking
lot.
Airport Parking
A covered concourse links both the Domestic and International Terminals to a multistory,
short-term parking lot. Closest to the terminals, short-term parking is $4.50 for every 30
minutes for a maximum of four hours. Beyond this section of the parking garage is the
economy parking lot, where leaving your vehicle for 30 minutes costs $4.50, up to a max-
imum of $22 per day, and $130 per week. The airport authority also manages the jetSet
long-term parking lot ($12 per day, $85 per week) and provides shuttles to the terminals.
