Although there are some areas of tension and density in this poster invitation (try finding a good
piece of design where there's absolutely no contrast whatsoever!), the tension is minimal. Overall,
almost all the negative spaces created by the back-and-forth motion of the thread line are similar
in size, shape, and presence. Almost all the elements are equidistant from the format edges. And
all the elements are linear, with only mild changes in weight and size. The result is a very quiet,
casual, lackadaisical expression that is unpretentious, comfortable, and charming.
