These posters are part of a series promoting events during one season of a jazz festival. Unlike
most event branding schemes, however, they don't offer any similarities in color, type style, spa-
tial arrangement, or form language. In this case, violating the cardinal rule of consistency ex-
presses the improvisational nature and individuality of each performance. Another benefit is that
potential patrons won't be likely to mistake one performance announcement for another and ac-
cidentally miss something they would like to see.
