TO INDENT OR NOT TO INDENT?
In setting text in which paragraphs run together, separated by
indenting the first line, the first paragraph on the page should have no indent. Every paragraph
thereafter is then indented—until the next major sequential break or sub-headed paragraph, which
should not be indented.
WATCH THE BREAKS!
Avoid breaking words across lines (hyphenating) so that short or incom-
plete stubs begin the line following: -ed, -er, -ing, -tion, -al, -ly. Make sure there are at least four
