NIGHTLIFE
After a long day of communing with rocks and water, you might be ready for some rock
and roll at the Hard Rock Cafe (333 Prospect St., 716/282-0007, www.hardrock.com
11am-11pm Sun.-Thurs., 11am-midnight Fri.-Sat.) The Hard Rock has continuous music
videos, a reasonable selection of beers, and a ton of cool rock'n'roll memorabilia affixed
to the walls. Look for the sketch by Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix's guitar, and the pair of
Bono's signature sunglasses. The Hard Rock hosts live music with no cover charge every
Friday evening.
You'll find entertainment daily at the Seneca Niagara Casino (310 4th St., 716/
299-1100, www.senecaniagaracasino.com , 24 hours daily). Waitstaff will serve drinks
while you're gaming, or you can sit at the bar in Club Stir and enjoy free live music
5pm-1:30am Friday-Sunday.
Within stumbling distance of downtown is the Third Street Tap Room (439 3rd St.,
716/282-8277, 7pm-2am Tues.-Thurs., 6pm-3am Fri.-Sat.). A casual atmosphere with loc-
al clientele and reasonable drink prices makes this a good place to unwind. Creative drink
specials include s'mores-flavored martinis.
THE ARTS
There is something for everyone at the Niagara Arts and Cultural Center (NACC,
1201PineAve.,716/282-7530, www.thenacc.org , 9am-5pmMon.-Fri.noon-4pmSat.-Sun.,
free). NACC features works from more than 70 local artists, including paintings, sculpture,
and crafts, and displays change frequently. NACC is a converted high school building with
60 artist studios, two theaters, two galleries, and a TV production soundstage. Check the
