PARKWAY NORTH
Driving north from the falls, there is a cluster of family-operated bed-and-breakfasts.
Among the best is the Redwood (5227 River Rd., 905/358-1990, www.redwoodbb.ca ,
$145). Overlooking the gorge, Redwood has three luxurious rooms, each with an en-suite
bathroom and television; two of the rooms have fireplaces. The proprietors are a mother-
and-daughter team who express their Italian heritage in the provided breakfast.
The Greystone Manor Bed & Breakfast (4939 River Rd., 905/357-7373,
www.greystone-manor.ca , $125) sets the standard for service in this region. It features four
rooms, each with a private bath. If you desire even more privacy, reserve the Topaz Room,
a renovated carriage house with its own private entrance and balcony. The gracious host,
Rob, offers outstanding customer service and attention to detail, whether you require a late
check-in after being delayed at the border or if you have dietary restrictions. With lower
room prices than most hotels, the Greystone is highly recommended.
The amenities at Accommodations Niagara Bed and Breakfast (5069 River Rd., 866/
346-7727, www.accommodationsniagara.com , $130) make it a comfortable place to stay.
