FALLSVIEW AREA
The Wyndham Garden Niagara Falls (6170 Stanley Ave., 800/207-4421,
www.wyndham.com , $160)isapropertyofferinggoodvaluetoguests.There'saheatedin-
door pool, a good-sized fitness center, and free high-speed Internet. The WEGO bus stops
just outside the hotel.
Floor-to-ceiling windows with unobstructed views of the falls are a draw at The Tower
Hotel (6732 Fallsview Blvd., 866/325-5784, www.niagaratower.com , $250). This boutique
hotelisdesignedforromanticsandhasanin-houseweddingchapel.This42-roomboutique
hotel is renowned for its unobstructed views of the falls. The hotel is atop a tower located
close to the casino and the incline railway. The circular shape of the tower forced designers
to create oddly shaped rooms that trend small (refrigerators and microwaves are in the
closet). The Fallsview rooms have the best view, but are smaller than the Cityview rooms.
During summer, it's worth splurging for the Fallsview room. In the off-season, reserve a
Cityview room and ask for an upgrade at check-in. The staff is very friendly. There's no
self-parking, but the valet service ($20/day) allows unlimited in-and-out access at no extra
charge.
Stay in the middle of the action at the M Fallsview Casino Resort (6380 Fallsview
Blvd., 888/325-5788, www.fallsviewcasinoresort.com , $249). If you like the convenience
of being close to gaming and world-class entertainment while still being close to the falls,
this is your hotel. All 374 rooms in this hotel are large in comparison to other properties in
the area. Suites feature large whirlpool tubs and extra space for relaxation. Ask for a room
with a view of the falls, preferably on the 12th floor or higher. Corner suites offer the best
opportunity to see American and Horseshoe Falls from your room. If you bring a car, sign-
ing up for the casino's perks card can earn you reduced-cost or free parking. If a show at
the casino is sold out, check the box office at noon; some unclaimed comp tickets may still
be available.
The fireplaces in the rooms of the M Sterling Inn and Spa (5195 Magdalen St., 289/
292-0000, www.sterlingniagara.com , $185) may put a spark in your romantic getaway at
the falls. This boutique hotel provides couples with a special experience. Rooms are spa-
cious, and most are equipped with whirlpool tubs. Have a warm breakfast delivered to your
room for a special treat.
