PLANNING YOUR TIME
Niagara Falls, Ontario, is rich in natural and developed attractions. A three-day, two-night
stay allows enough time to fully appreciate all this destination has to offer.
Plan on making both daytime and nighttime visits to the pedestrian path along the gorge
that connects the brink of the falls with the Hornblower Niagara Cruises complex. This
0.75-mile path offers the best views of all three waterfalls that comprise Niagara. Viewing
the falls at various times during your visit will reveal different aspects of this natural won-
der.
Fewer tourists visit on weekdays than on weekends and holidays, when the area swells
with visitors. The best strategy for avoiding long lines at the Hornblower Niagara Cruises
complex is to arrive early in the morning, just after 10am. The Niagara Falls Adventure
Pass ( www.niagaraparks.com , $50 adults, $37 children 6-12) reserves timed tickets for
Journey Behind the Falls, Niagara's Fury, and the White Water Walk.
Some attractions, including the Hornblower Niagara Cruises, Journey Behind the Falls,
and the White Water Walk, are seasonal and are either closed or have restricted hours
November-April. The Niagara Parks website ( www.niagaraparks.com ) is the best resource
for information on seasonal schedules.
This area is car-friendly, but the tourist transit system (WEGO) provides excellent, in-
expensive transportation with stops at all the major hotels and attractions. If your hotel is
not on the WEGO route, you can park for free at the Whirlpool Aero Car lot (3850 Niagara
River Pkwy.) and pick up the bus there.
