Step 3: Getting to manufacture PCBs of the prototype model lift
system
It was very encouraging to see that simulation was carried out successfully and now we
wish to get the PCBs built and test the parking system. This might be also related to a pro-
ject that we are working on it as a college final year project and our instructors have ad-
vised us the course grade will not be give in full unless we show them the whole hardware
of the system working properly!
It seems that the following items are the main sections in building of a simulator park-
ing system.
1. Break-Beam sensor circuit to detect cars.
2. Arm gate motors, related limit switches, and motor driver PCB at entrance and exit
parking lot
3. A two digits numeric to display parking capacity.
4. 16 toggle switches to indicate presence of cars parked in 16 slots of the parking lot.
5. A main control board that installed in parking operator room and it consist of micro-
controller, A LCD to display information, and the pushbuttons needed for the operator.
