COMMERCIAL RV Parks
Commercial RV parks abound. The downside of these is that the owners need to turn a
profit over a relatively short camping season. To do this they build cheek-by-jowl sites that
usually have you camping one on top of each other. Costs on this trip ranged from $20-$45.
The upside is you can plug into electrical power, hook up to city water and drain your sani
tanks onsite if you need to. They usually have laundromats, pools and WIFI. When located
inside a town, they often have easy access to public transit so you can see the sites or do
your shopping without moving your vehicle.
If you don't need to plug into power or hook up to water, ask for a tent site. These are usu-
ally half the price and often located in a quieter area of the campground. You still have the
same access to the showers, laundry, WIFI, pools, etc.
