In-Depth Information
I am not just being patriotic, but once onto the Canadian end of the road the scenery is so
much more beautiful. We are higher so the scrubby bush and brush has given up trying to
survive here. The slopes undulate with luxurious looking green velvet meadows. Miniature
blue bells bravely peek out from the lichen-covered rocks.

post. We find several inukshuks perched on the edge of the cliff, overlooking the valley.
Inukshuks are constructed of whatever rocks are at hand. They roughly depict the human
form and were left by the Inuit to basically say, “I was here before you and you are on
the right path.” People are still building inukshuks. We found them all over the north. Still
built for the same reason I presume, to say “I was here.”
