A VERY Cool Road Trip
Normally, personal vehicular travel is restricted to just the first few miles of the park road.
However, every year the park runs a Road Lottery. The winners are issued a one day (6am
to midnight) permit to drive the parks road between September 17-20 . Whether or not they
can travel the full extent of the road is determined by weather - an early snowfall will re-
strict travel to the furthest safe point.
