13.2.2.1 Chlorophyll b Biosynthetic Heterogeneity
The biosynthetic heterogeneity of Chl b is more complex than that of Chl a since
it is based on the biosynthetic heterogeneity of Chl a , of MV Pchlide b and of
MV Chlide b . As a consequence 12 different Chl b pools destined to different
Chl-protein complexes appear to be formed during greening (Fig. 13.8 ).
