Creek. The open first site has room for up to three tents, while the second site
can accommodate up to four tents in the shade of a sprawling live oak. Both sites
are equipped with a fire ring, and drinking water lies just downslope at year-round
Estrella Creek.
A mound of serpentine creates a barren landscape where only endemic species survive.
Few people hike farther due to encroaching brush and poison oak a mile past
camp to trail's end at Coast Ridge Road. For current trail conditions, call the Pacific
Valley Station at (805) 927-4211. If you'd like join a volunteer maintenance crew,

hard work, maintenance outings take in a spectacular loop trip up the Salmon Creek
Trail to Coast Ridge Road and down the Buckeye Trail.
