DIRECTIONS: This coastline is accessible via pullouts along Highway 1, some 60
miles south of Rio Road in Carmel and 30 miles north of Hearst San Simeon State
Historical Monument (Hearst Castle).

p.m. The station is on the east side of Highway 1, 3 miles north of the Sand Dollar
Beach Day-Use Area, 60 miles south of Carmel, and 30 miles north of Hearst Castle.
NEAREST CAMPGROUND: Plaskett Creek Campground (41 sites, $22/night; 3
group sites, $80/night; reservations recommended in summer and holidays) is on the
east side of Highway 1, 0.1 mile south of the entrance to the Sand Dollar Beach Day-
Use Area. There's a maximum of eight people per site. Each site includes a picnic
