DIRECTIONS:
The park entrance is on the east side of Highway 1, 56 miles south
of Carmel, 2 miles south of Lucia, and 94 miles north of San Luis Obispo.
VISITOR CENTER:
Big Sur Station: (831) 667-2315. The station is on Highway
1, 30 miles north of park entrance and just south of Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park. Open
daily 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Memorial Day through Labor Day, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. the rest of
the year.
NEAREST CAMPGROUND:
The park campground (33 sites, $35/night; reserva-
tions recommended in summer and on holidays) offers developed sites with picnic
tables and fire rings. Some sites accommodate RVs and trailers. There are showers,

INFORMATION:
Open daily 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Memorial Day through Labor Day, 10
a.m.-5 p.m. the rest of the year. There is a $10 day-use fee. No dogs or bikes allowed
on park trails.
