The trail crosses the roadway just past the eleventh post (0.25 mile, 300') and
leads to one of the park's largest trees, which towers nearly 300 feet. Most trees at the
trail's end are 500-800 years old, hardly record-breaking for a species that can live
more than 2000 years and exceed 300 feet in height. The trail emerges at the visitor
lot beside park headquarters. Retrace your steps to the trailhead.
