In-Depth Information
Pfeiffer Redwood Creek cascades 60 feet along its path toward the confluence of the Big
Sur River farther downstream.
Soon after crossing the fourth footbridge, you'll reach the northern Valley View
Trail junction (0.4 mile, 590'), which leads northwest across a fifth bridge. Once
again, continue straight and follow the burbling creek through its narrow, steep-walled
canyon. You'll ascend more than 40 steps to the base of the 60-foot falls, where visit-
ors pause on a wooden platform to watch water plunging over the mossy granite cliff
into the crystal clear pool below. Benches on the platform offer a great picnic spot,
though you shouldn't expect solitude.
