The simulation itself is stored in a directory that is des-
ignated at the bottom of the Domain object's Fluid
Simulation panel, as shown in Figure 14.9. When
you hit the Bake button, Blender creates a fi le for each
frame of the simulation and places it in the specifi ed
directory. So, if you plan to move your BLEND fi les
to another computer or a render farm for rendering,
you will need to make sure that those fi les go along for
the ride and that the path is relative. We'll talk more
about collecting fi les like this for rendering in Chapter
15, Rendering and Compositing.

To create a large-scale water effect, like a river or ocean, you can use a combination of the Wave modifi er and
texturing. For things such as fountains and sprays, particle systems work well.
