In-Depth Information
This view shows all of the libraries that are linked into the current BLEND fi le. Relative links will begin
with a “//” symbol, the double forward slash. If you see these in front of all of your library path names, then
you've done things correctly. If, however, you see ones that begin with a single “/” followed immediately by
path information or a drive letter like “C:\”, you have absolute links to a library.
Remember that using relative links will preserve your ability to access your shot fi les and their libraries if you
move or copy the production onto another computer or if you are trying to use them over a networked drive.
Finding and Fixing Broken Links
There may come a time in your production when you open a shot fi le only to see that some, or maybe all, of
your linked objects are missing. To make sure that is what's going on, check the Blender console. If you see
something like Figure 6.31, then your links are broken.
