Hatch options for every occasion.
AutoCAD is still reluctant to hatch supposedly closed areas where even a speck of day-
light gets through, but AutoCAD 2012 at least shows you where you need to fix a leaky
boundary. The Hatch routine displays one or more red circles at gaps in the not-quite-
enclosed area you want to hatch. Even if it won't fix the gaps, it does show you where
you
should fix them.

The remainder of this chapter shows you how to refine the techniques presented in the
preceding section. I describe how to copy existing hatching, take advantage of the vari-
ous options in the Hatch and Gradient dialog box (which offers a bit more control than
the Hatch Creation contextual tab), and choose more complicated hatching boundaries.
