Wroclaw University of Technology built their
rst prototype (Table 7.11 ) in 2014
and this was presented by Czernuszewicz et al. [ 40 ].
The Halbach permanent-magnet assembly was designed to provide a magnetic

Table 7.12 presents the second reciprocating prototype from Wroclaw Univer-
sity of Technology. It is an interesting design, since it is a device that works on the
principles of the magnetocaloric as well as the barocaloric effect. Some of the
characteristics of this device are presented in the Table 7.12 .
