undertaken. As a result, the construction of own PLE caused a change in the whole
class attitude w.r.t. the 1 st semester. Students' results assessed during the 2 nd seme-
ster revealed a general improvement in facing mathematical problems.
The reason of this improvement, investigated by further interviews conducted
with students, related to benefits caused by the new methodological approach to
the mathematical problems proposed.
Results of assessments performed at the end of the 2nd semester are summa-
rized in Table 3.

Answers to the questionnaire delivered at the end of the experience have been
summarized in Table 4. They show that learners generally enjoyed the experience
and especially the development of their own PLE helped them to improve their
methodological skills. Emphasizing the importance of acquiring a good methodo-
logical approach, OECD[10] refers to skills like “modeling” and “problem-
solving” that are clearly related to a well-structured methodological approach to
any Mathematical problems.
