Red Giant
Red Giant has been creating useful plug-ins for Final Cut Pro and After Effects since 2002. Its Magic Bullet
Looks 2 is an awesome color application that works right inside Final Cut Pro X and comes with a large number
of preset looks to apply to your projects. Additional looks can be added with Red Giant's large collection of Guru
Presets. Magic Bullet Mojo allows you to quickly give your movie that blockbuster look that's prevalent in mod-
ern Hollywood movies.
CrumplePop
CrumplePop has a large number of effects plug-ins built specifically for Final Cut Pro X. TransiMatic is a suite of
transitions that lets you add animated swings, flips, and slides to your clips. You can easily add light-leak trans-
itions with CrumplePop's Lumineux plug-in. SplitScreen X is a fast way to create split screens for you movies.
CrumplePop also has a number of great plug-ins that help you manipulate the look of your movie. Make sure to
check out Platinotype, Tonegrade, and Finisher.
Noise Industries FX Factory
FX Factory is a free software download that comes with some free effects and lets you try out trail versions of a
large number of commercial visual effects before purchase. Our favorites include Ripple Training's Call Outs,
which allows you to add animated arrows, shapes, and speech bubbles to your projects, and Yanobox Moods,
which is a great color-grading plug-in that works with Final Cut Pro X.
