Exporting to XML
Exporting an XML (Extensible Markup Language) file from Final Cut Pro creates a plain text file that contains
all the data related to your Project. You can use this file to transfer project data from Final Cut Pro into other
compatible applications (such as DaVinci Resolve for more advanced grading work, for instance). Third-party
utilities use this XML file to expand Final Cut Pro's ability to integrate with other applications. X2Pro Audio
Convert from Marquis Broadcast converts the Final Cut Pro X XML into an AAF file, which can then be im-
ported into Avid Pro Tools for more complex audio work. Similarly, Intelligent Assistance's Xto7 allows you to
import a Final Cut Pro X project into Final Cut Pro 7 (or back again using its 7toX tool). To export an XML file
simply choose File Export XML.
