Figure 16.1 The Share Monitor.
On the left side of the Share Monitor window is the Cluster List, which lists all the computers available on your
network. Click This Computer to display the tasks currently running on your main computer in the Batch Dis-
play area on the right side of the window. The Batch Display shows you the rendering, transcoding, and export-
ing that's being carried out; you can view more detailed information by clicking the disclosure triangle by the
task's name. The blue progress bar tells you how much time has elapsed; clicking it displays the time remaining
on the task. Tasks can be paused or cancelled by using the circular icons at the end of the progress bar. Clicking
the i icon displays additional information. You can open the Mac's Console to track down any processing issues
by pressing the Show Log button. The Share Monitor's Toolbar provides you with various sorting options. You
can select which tasks to view by clicking All, Active, or Complete from the Status buttons.
Once you've shared a Project, a share icon appears next to the Project's name in the Project Library and
Timeline. If changes were made to the Project after it was shared, an exclamation point symbol also appears
next to the share icon (see Figure 16.2). Clicking the share icon in the Project Library opens the Sharing pane in
the Inspector and displays details of how the Project was shared and the dates the Project was published (see
Figure 16.3).
Figure 16.2 Share icons indicate that a Project has been shared and changed.
