Press +R to hide the Retime Editor and play back the clip to see the result.
Other effects that play with time also are available from the Retime menu. These include Instant Replay, which
duplicates and replays a selected area in the Timeline, and Rewind, which duplicates a selected area and plays it
back in reverse with a choice of different speeds. Variable speed changes also can be applied to a clip by using
the Speed Ramp option.
There are plenty of different effects and filters for you to explore inside Final Cut Pro. We've only been able to
scratch the surface in this brief overview. The best way is to dive in, explore for yourself, and experiment with
each effect's parameters in the Inspector. Have fun!
