If you want the frame to be held for a specific duration, select a clip and use the Range tool to drag a selection
over the clip that is the length that you require (see Figure 14.13). Then press Shift+H to create the hold.

When you choose Hold from the Retime menu, the first frame of the selection becomes the frame that is held.
You also can change a clip's Hold Frame after creating a freeze. To do so, click the menu on the green bar be-
fore the freeze frame and choose Change End Source Frame (see Figure 14.14). This brings up a film frame
icon over the clip that represents the frame being frozen (see Figure 14.15). To change the Hold Frame, simply
move the icon to a new frame on the clip. This will slide the hold to the position of the new frame without alter-
ing the overall duration of the freeze frame.
