If you've ever watched a movie with the sound down, you'll recognize how much the sound design adds to the
overall experience of the story. The quality of a movie's soundtrack is what separates the amateur from the pro-
fessional. As you've seen, a lot of work goes into the creation of a soundtrack. Background noise is removed
from location recordings, dialogue is equalized and processed, sound effects and background ambience is ad-
ded, and music is composed and recorded. All these different audio elements are brought together and correctly
