the necessary attribute formula calculations. It proved to be more practical
to resort to traditional SketchUp copying and arraying to produce multiple
rows. This method of mixing Dynamic Component functionality with stand-
ard SketchUp tools has additional advantages in that each manually copied
row can have a different length and rotation. When multiple similar Dynamic
Components are selected, the Component Options dialog can be used to
configure them all simultaneously.
The final component to be examined is called “DynaComp Crowd Control.”
Its use and function is straight-forward. Scaling the component results in a
randomly positioned crowd.
The Interact tool will rerandomize the crowd if the results do not look quite
right. Different levels of crowdedness as well as a “Crowding along one edge”
option are available on the Configuration Options dialog.
