to models, which is very useful for nighttime visualizations.

Stage 14: 3D Visualization Video
Goal : To create a video to better visualize the park.
Input : Piranesi images and SketchUp fly-through videos.
Tools : Sony Vegas.
I chose to also create a 3D visualization video as part of my final presentation
for Lescar Park to give a real feel of what it would be like to walk around this
outdoor space. SketchUp allows you to export video clips. To create a video
clip, simply use the Scene Manager and select different movement locations;
SketchUp will flow from one point to the next. I exported a number of videos
from my model and then I was able to edit them into a full feature video by
using Sony Vegas, a video editor that is easy to use.
Tip
Try and export shorter clips, especially if you want higher definition. I found
the rendering time for many clips was certainly very long and put quite a lot of
stress on the computer; on a number of occasions, it caused computer crashes.
So, to avoid such issues keep clips small; they can always be edited
together later.
Conclusion
SketchUp has certainly helped me a great deal in modeling the park design; it
allowed me to perform the following functions:
