Stage 13: Model Completion - Rendering
Goal : To create high-quality images of the model.
Input : The best angle for decent image exports that best demonstrate the
park.
Tools : Piranesi.
With the SketchUp model complete, it was time to create some high-quality
design images of the model. For this, I used a software tool called Piranesi.
Piranesi is an exceptional piece of software that allows users to create single
image renderings. These images can be photorealistic or similar to traditional
commercial art such as watercolors, pen and ink, tempera, etc. The possibili-
ties of Piranesi are infinite. Its ability to incorporate entourage with depth and
to add artistic effects and fills without masking are unsurpassable. SketchUp
models lend themselves particularly well to creating the geometry needed for
an artist to create stunning works with Piranesi. Piranesi is not in competition
with 2D visualization programs; it is an art medium where each artist creates
unique images and develops his or her own style over time.
